Who we are
Founded in 1994, Sixty Plus is a registered charity (no. 1035607) supporting
older people in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
What we do
With the help of over 150 volunteers of all ages and diverse backgrounds, we provide services to people over the age of 60 with the aim of supporting independence, dignity and choice. Our current projects include 'Health Wise', Intergenerational schemes, Volunteer Support Services (home visiting, escorted shopping, practical help) and Garden Guardians. Sixty Plus members are involved in a greeting card recycling scheme and we organise occasional outings and special events for our members. A quarterly newsletter keeps us in touch with our 1,750 registered members. We also produce the ‘Sixty Plus Guide to Services for Older People in Kensington & Chelsea’ due to be updated and republished early in 2005.
